Xiaoruo Jiang

Xiaoruo Jiang is a Senior Policy Officer at FAO’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (RAP) in Bangkok. She leads regional policy initiatives that support agrifood systems transformation, investment mobilization and strategic partnerships across the region. Her work focuses on advancing the Hand-in-Hand (HIH) Initiative in the region, shaping regional investment dialogue and strengthening engagement with governments, development partners and international financial institutions. She also contributes to regional analytical and foresight work, aimed at generating strategic insights and identifying emerging opportunities for agrifood systems transformation. She supports FAO country offices in translating global priorities into national policies and investment programmes. 

Prior to joining RAP, Ms. Jiang served in the Office of the Director-General at FAO Headquarters in Rome, where she worked closely with senior leadership on strategic coordination, policy analysis and partnership development. 

Before joining FAO in 2019, she spent 16 years at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, working on international agricultural cooperation and development strategies.
