Kat Coballes is the regional focal for climate change in Central and West Asia Department (CWRD). She oversees country engagement to ensure effective mainstreaming of climate change priorities in CWRD operations (through the Country Partnership Strategy, Country Programming and project design and development.

Prior to her employment in ADB, she served as the Climate Change and Energy Attaché at the British Embassy Manila. She also has over a decade of experience as a development professional/specialist as part of the National Economic and Development Authority of the Republic of the Philippines, where she headed and led a division that deals with environment and climate change matters.

She has a Master's degree on Forest and Nature Conservation from the Wageningen University and Research Center and University of Eastern Finland, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of the Philippines.
