Yaozhou Zhou is the Principal Water Resources Specialist in Asian Development Bank, leading technical assistance and loan processing and administration of various water resources and irrigation projects in Central and West Asian countries. Before the current position, he served as Senior Water Resources Specialist in ADB’s East Asia Department handling water and environment projects in China and Mongolia. Prior to joining ADB, Yaozhou was a Director in Ministry of Water Resources of China, where he was in charge of water resources planning, project development and implementation, in particular,those dealing with international donor-funded portfolios. Overall, he has over 30 years’ experience in formulating and implementing water policies and strategies as well as developing and managing investment projects in water sector. Yaozhou obtained his MBA from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom and his Bachelor degree in Water Engineering from Wuhan University, China.
