The Nature Conservancy
Xiaoquan ZHANG, Ph.D. in ecology, was a research professor and the lead of climate change and forest from 2003 to 2009 in the Chinese Academy of Forestry. He joined The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in 2009 as senior scientist of climate change, followed by deputy director TNC China and chief scientist, leading teams of science, climate change, land and water conservation and field demonstration projects in multiple provinces, and has been the director of TNC China since December 2025.
