Dr. Tran Van The has served as Deputy Director of the IAE under the MAE, Vietnam, since 2014. His professional expertise focuses on agricultural environment and policy, climate change, sustainable agriculture, and food system transformation. He holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and a Ph.D. from the Vietnam National University of Agriculture. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in analyzing policy gaps and contributing to the development of numerous national strategies, action plans, technical guidelines, and policy briefs related to agricultural environment and food system transformation.
