Thiet Nguyen has nearly 20 years of experience in agricultural certification, working across coffee, pepper, and rubber value chains. At Rainforest Alliance Vietnam, he leads initiatives promoting sustainable agriculture, including agroforestry systems that enhance soil health, biodiversity, and climate resilience. In 2024, he partnered with Rabobank’s Acorn program to connect smallholder coffee farmers to global carbon markets through agroforestry. The pilot project covers 4,000 hectares and aims to scale significantly, creating new income opportunities while supporting climate-resilient coffee production.
