Teiji Nakamura

Teiji Nakamura graduated from the University of Tokushima School of Medicine in 1972. He worked as a clinical dietitian at Shinjuku Clinic and St. Marianna University School of Medicine Hospital. He was a research student at the Tokyo University School of Medicine since 1978 and received a PhD in 1985. From 2003, he became a professor at Kanagawa University of Human Services. After working as a chairman and dean, he had been the president from 2011 to March 2023. 

He was Chairman of the Organizing Committee in the 15th International Congress of Dietetics in 2008. And he was Chairman of the Organizing Committee in the 8th Asian Congress of Dietetics in 2022. He is President of The Asian Federation of Dietetic Associations (AFDA). 

He has been directly involved in the latter half of Japan's nearly 100-year history of nutrition policy. His efforts were highlighted in Prime Minister Kishida's speech at the start of The Tokyo Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit 2021.
