Dr. Takashi Yamano is a Principal Economist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). At ADB, he leads economic research and reviews the economic analyses of proposed projects, with a focus on sustainable and low-carbon agriculture as well as government-supported nutrition programs. Before joining ADB, he held positions at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), and the World Bank. He earned a joint Ph.D. in Economics and Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University in 2000.
