Dr. Suman Dahal is a public policy and management expert with over 28 years of service in the Government of Nepal. He holds a PhD in Management from Lincoln University College (Malaysia), a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Tokyo, and Master’s degrees in Public Administration and Business Studies from Tribhuvan University.
Since joining government service in 1997, Dr. Dahal has held several senior positions in the Ministry of Finance, where he currently leads the Budget and Program Division. He previously served as Director General of both the Department of Money Laundering Investigation and the Department of Customs, where he advanced major institutional reforms, including implementation of Nepal’s National Single Window System and maintaining supply chains during COVID-19. His work focuses on governance reform, trade facilitation, and evidence-based economic policy.
