Dr. Baurzhan has experience in the financial and economic appraisal of investment projects across agriculture, energy, health, water, and transport sectors in Africa and Asia. Prior to joining the Asian Development Bank, she worked as a senior economist and financial analyst at Cambridge Resource International Inc., collaborating with organizations including the World Bank, the United States Agency for International Development, and the Development Bank of Southern Africa. She has also contributed to ADB initiatives supporting water resilience and capacity building in public investment appraisal, including work with the National Economic and Development Authority of the Philippines.
