Dr. Rodelio G. Idago is a Scientist I and Chief Science Research Specialist at the Socio-Economics and Policy Research Division of the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech). With over two decades of service in agricultural research, development, and extension, he has led numerous studies on postharvest systems, mechanization interventions, and socio-economic assessments for major agri-fishery commodities.

He holds a PhD in Environmental Science and an MS in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, and a BS in Agricultural Engineering from Central Luzon State University. His work has significantly contributed to improving farmers’ productivity, efficiency, and livelihoods.

A recipient of multiple national and institutional R&D awards, Dr. Idago has authored numerous scientific journal articles, monographs, and technical manuals. He also serves as a frequent resource person in national trainings and conferences on agricultural mechanization and postharvest technologies.
