Pieter joined ADB in 2024 to support the bank’s capital markets and investor relations activities, contributing to the execution of key thematic and strategic bond issuances. His work has included several of ADB’s inaugural offerings, such as its first biodiversity and nature-themed bond and its first green bond to raise awareness of glacier melt.
Prior to joining ADB, Pieter built his career in debt capital markets in London, United Kingdom, where he worked at Deutsche Bank and Crédit Agricole. In these roles, he advised sovereign debt management offices, multilateral development banks, and government agencies on a wide range of bond-issuance activities across multiple currencies, as well as on investor engagement and communications strategies.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Agence France Locale, a local government funding agency, as part of its funding and treasury team, supporting the institution’s market operations. Pieter holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Lyon, France.
