Manir Ryne is a Team Leader and Climate Change Specialist at EcoSecurities, bringing over 15 years of experience in the international development sector. Based in Vientiane, Laos, he specializes in climate risk and vulnerability assessment and AI-driven digital innovation for climate resilience across Asia and the Pacific.
Manir has led and contributed to more than 20 projects funded by major international financial institutions, including the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, KfW, and GIZ, spanning agriculture, water resources, urban environment, and climate change adaptation. His recent work includes climate-resilient agriculture programs in the Philippines, integrated water resources management in Southeast Asia.
A champion of technology-driven solutions, Manir has led the development of several applications for the Philippine Government, including an AI-integrated Automated Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) System combining remote sensing, Decision Support Tools for Climate-Resilient Agriculture, and Simplified Foresight Modelling applications. He holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science with a specialization in Environmental Planning and Management from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education.
