Wright was appointed as Alternate Executive Director representing: Australia; Azerbaijan; Cambodia; Georgia; Hong Kong, China; Kiribati; Federated States of Micronesia; Nauru; Palau; Solomon Islands; and Tuvalu.
She is a senior career officer of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and was most recently Assistant Secretary, Public Diplomacy Branch. She previously served as Assistant Secretary, Scholarships and Alumni Branch; Deputy Chief Innovation Officer; and Assistant Secretary, Southeast Asia Mainland Bilateral Branch. She served overseas as Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy in Seoul. Before joining DFAT, she was Assistant Director General, Communications, Ministerial and Transparency Branch at AusAID.
She has worked in management and consulting roles in Australia and Asia with Ford Motor Company, Deloitte, the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, and Tsinghua University.
Wright holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Melbourne.
