Dr. Kazuki Saito is a Senior Scientist at the IRRI, specializing in cropping systems agronomy, soil and nutrient management, and climate-smart rice cultivation. He leads IRRI’s Sustainable Soils sub-unit and serves as Program Director of the ASEAN-CGIAR Innovate for Food and Nutrition Security Program. He is a Board Member of the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) and the Leader of Area of Work 4 (Incubating Innovation in Sustainable Farming) within the CGIAR Sustainable Farming Program. In addition, he leads several IRRI–MAFF Japan initiatives aimed at accelerating agricultural innovations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in ASEAN countries.
