Mr. Hiz Jamali is ADB climate focal in Pakistan, with a PhD from the University of Melbourne and over 15 years of international experience in climate change, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, and social sectors across Australia, New Zealand, and Pakistan. Previously, as senior research scientist and project leader at CSIRO, Australia, delivered scientific leadership and innovative research to government and industry partners in environmental, agriculture, and food sectors. Developed, led, and contributed to several projects on GHG quantification, irrigation & fertilizer use efficiency, food security, and developing GHG mitigation strategies for agricultural sectors. He earned his PhD in greenhouse gas exchange in terrestrial ecosystems from the University of Melbourne, and GRI Certified Sustainability Professional.
