Eoghan MURPHY leads the agriculture team at the Embassy of Ireland in Japan, as part of Ireland’s Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) international agri-food diplomacy network. His work is focused on opening and expanding market access for Irish agri-food and agri-tech exports, strengthening agri-farm policy and regulatory co-operation, and building partnerships for sustainable food systems transformation. His career at DAFM has included responsibilities for international agri-food trade, EU co-ordination, livestock sector development, SPS controls, animal welfare, export certification systems, and policy and strategy development.
