Dr. Eduardo Jimmy Quilang is a visionary leader and researcher dedicated to advancing agricultural R&D in the Philippines. He currently serves as the Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Deputy Executive Director for Research and Chief Science Research Specialist at the Philippine Rice Research Institute (DA-PhilRice), having previously held senior leadership roles in both research and development.
Dr. Quilang holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences from Kyushu University and advanced degrees in Agricultural Meteorology and Engineering from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. His technical expertise is complemented by executive training in Digital Transformation and Public Management, alongside his status as a Career Executive Service Eligible (CESE) official.
Recognized for his commitment to food security, he has received prestigious accolades, including the 2023 Gawad Career Executive Service Presidential Award and the 2025 Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo Award.
