Dr. Diego Lobos-Lillo holds a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from Cornell University, specializing in remote sensing, seismology, and geophysics. His research focuses on surface deformation monitoring using integrated multi-sensor satellite data, including SAR, thermal infrared, and multispectral optical imagery, applied to highly dynamic Earth surface systems in Chile and internationally. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at AGU, including work on NISAR (NASA/ISRO) data validation in collaboration with JPL. Currently, he serves as Senior Researcher, R&D Unit, at Archeda, Inc. (Tokyo), where he applies geophysical remote sensing methods to agricultural and environmental monitoring, including carbon dynamics in rice systems.
