As Deputy Director General of the Department of Farmland Enhancement, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Chen Zixiong is primarily responsible for the formulation of plans, development of policies, investment advice, project management, and international cooperation in the field of farmland enhancement.
Mr. Chen Zixiong oversees the organization and implementation of four international loan (grant) projects, including the Yangtze River Green Ecological Corridor Comprehensive Agriculture Development Project (PRC-3740) and the Yellow River Basin Green Farmland and High-Quality Agriculture Development Project (PRC-4239). To execute these initiatives, he has organized approximately 500 professionals across 13 provinces for concrete implementation.
Mr. Chen Zixiong holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He has long been engaged in arable land protection and farmland enhancement, building extensive experience across land consolidation and reclamation, farmland water conservancy construction, and international exchange and cooperation. Prior to his current role at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, he served for many years at the former Ministry of Land and Resources, where he was responsible for policy formulation, project implementation and fund management related to land consolidation and reclamation.
