Changtong Huang joined FAIRR in July 2022 and is currently the China Programme Head at FAIRR Initiative, focusing on FAIRR’s development in the Chinese market, with a particular interest in the largest listed animal protein companies in the FAIRR Protein Producer Index, such as Mengniu, Muyuan, and Yili. Changtong also engages with key stakeholders related to FAIRR’s work in China, including international and domestic investors, NGOs, academics, etc.
Previously, Changtong worked at Apple and WeWork in China. After relocating to London in 2019, he joined the Bank of China London Branch as a research assistant focusing on green finance. He holds an MSc in International Business Management from the University of Surrey and a Master's by Research degree at Lancaster University. As part of his research project, he developed a framework for businesses to become carbon net-zero, using Life Cycle Assessment to analyse product carbon footprints and scope 3 emissions in supply chains.
