Aliya Mukhamedyarova is a development professional with extensive experience across multilateral development institutions. She currently serves as Head of the Project Administration Unit in ADB’s SD2‑AFNR Office, with responsibility for the Southeast Asia and Pacific portfolio, where she provides strategic oversight on portfolio performance, implementation quality, and operational effectiveness. Aliya has deep expertise in portfolio and risk management, policy dialogue, and institutional capacity building. Prior to this role, she worked as a Financial Sector Specialist in Central and West Asia, where she led and supported innovative operations in SME finance, value chain development, and green and sustainable finance, contributing to inclusive growth and private sector development.
