The Laundry Transformation initiative elevates laundry from its overlooked place in the development agenda and reimagines everyday laundry practices as a powerful lever for positive change.
Its ambition is to build a market-shaping coalition that transforms everyday laundry into a scalable service market delivering healthier rivers and strengthened food security, improved public health, gender equity through reduced unpaid care work, and inclusive economic opportunities.
This initiative is spearheaded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by Water and Urban Development Sector Office, Sectors Department 2 in collaboration with several other departments in ADB.
