YieldXperts bridges agriculture, the environment, and software for sustainable growth by addressing agriculture's fundamental blind spot: the unknown yield potential of fields. To solve this, we map yield potential with satellite data and develops robust satellite algorithms with ground truth validation to scale yield predictions. Furthermore, YieldXperts advances sensor technology to act as a full decision instrument , allowing existing manufacturers' irrigation and fertilization systems to be outfitted with their sensors and licensed algorithms. Moving away from inefficient "one-size-fits-all" measures , this technology translates pixels into targeted action by providing clear, site-specific recommendations for low-yield zones, such as targeted fertilization or humus enrichment. Ultimately, this integrated approach optimizes agricultural input use, addresses severe environmental problems like soil degradation and nitrate pollution in drinking water , and paves the way for resilient, profitable, and climate-smart agriculture that ensures long-term food security.

Overview of Technology/ Innovation:

Coming out of the Technical University of Munich, we have developed an integrated technology suite that bridges agriculture, environmental protection, and software to address the fundamental blind spot of unknown crop yield potentials. The technology directly combats critical developmental challenges, such as soil degradation and nitrate pollution in drinking water. The core innovation relies on building robust satellite algorithms, backed by ground truth validation, to accurately map and predict yield potentials across agricultural fields. This satellite data is paired with advanced sensor technology that acts as a comprehensive decision-making instrument, which can be directly licensed and integrated into existing agricultural machinery, such as irrigation and fertilization systems. By analyzing the plant-soil relationship, YieldXperts moves away from inefficient "one-size-fits-all" agricultural practices. Instead, it translates pixel data into direct, site-specific recommendations, guiding actions like targeted fertilization or humus enrichment in low-yield zones. This technology holds significant potential for upscaling through MDBs, incl. ADB, projects due to its inherent scalability and alignment with global sustainability goals. YieldXperts' architecture is explicitly designed to scale from small individual plots to large regional or even nationwide deployments via a Data-as-a-Service model. For large-scale development projects focused on climate resilience and resource management, togehter with partners, we offer a science-driven, independent solution that balances agricultural productivity with environmental protection – and we place great emphasis on knwowledge sharing, making sure that farmers are convinced of the benefits, rather than skeptical and leading to pushback.
