Susann Roth leads strategic initiatives in knowledge management and innovation. Her team established ADB’s first Innovation Hub to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and spearhead the bank’s first futures and foresight program, as well as its inaugural technology innovation challenge. Susann work bridges digital transformation and human-centered knowledge practices to enhance how development knowledge is generated, shared, and applied.
With a strong background in health systems innovation and social development, Susann co-led ADB’s Operational Plan for Health in 2025, launched the bank’s first health bond, advanced pharmaceutical regulatory systems strengthening in ASEAN and developed flagship programs in digital health and pandemic preparedness, including on pooled procurement.She has also played a key role in cross-sectoral health and social impact assessments and led the ADB–UN collaboration during the formulation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
