Sumit is a Senior Natural Resources and Agriculture Specialist with the Natural Capital and Climate, and East Asia Team – Agriculture, Food, Nature, and Rural Development Sector Office of the ADB. He joined ADB in 2021 as Environment Specialist in the Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Division of South Asia Department. He has over twenty years of professional experience in natural resources, environment, climate change program, and project development in South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and the United States. He holds a master’s degree in environmental science from Southern Illinois University.
