Mr. Paulrasu Chellamuthu is an Indian Administrative Services Officer from 2004 batch. He holds a post graduate degree in Agriculture from India’s top agriculture institution – Indian Agriculture Research Institute, New Delhi.
In addition to his duties as Secretary (Horticulture) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh, he is also serving as Secretary to three other departments in the State viz. Department of Agriculture, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. Previously, he served as the Secretary (Administrative Reforms & Training). He has served in various capacities ranging from district level as Deputy Commissioner to the Secretary at state level.
At the Government of India level, he has served as Executive Director, Tea Board of India for five years and contributed significantly in bringing reforms for the development of tea sector in the country and promotion of Indian Teas. He has long experience in rural and agrarian sector and very well understands its needs and means to uplift this sector in the country as a whole and the State in particular.
