François Dionne

François Dionne holds a Master’s Degree in Planning from the University of British Columbia, a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and a BBA from Université Laval.  

As International Programme Director at Socodevi, he oversees more than 25 projects across three continents, supporting cooperatives and associative enterprises in building inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development. His work spans 20 countries, where he leads initiatives that combine innovative financing models with strategic development approaches to strengthen cooperatives and foster resilient local economies.  

With a career bridging international organizations, government affairs, the private sector, and NGOs, François brings a global perspective and strong leadership in finance, international development, strategic planning, and project management. He has a proven track record of advancing complex, multi-country initiatives that empower communities and contribute to strong, long-term economic growth.
