C.P. Gandhi holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and brings over 35 years of experience in the horticulture sector in India. He is currently serving as Joint Director at the National Horticulture Board (NHB), a premier organization mandated with the integrated development of horticulture in India.
Over the course of his career, he has been closely associated with the formulation and implementation of key national-level schemes aimed at promoting commercial horticulture, post-harvest management, and cold chain infrastructure. These initiatives have significantly contributed to strengthening India’s horticulture value chains over the past three decades.
Gandhi also possesses rich experience in horticulture data systems and analysis, having contributed extensively to the compilation and publication of national-level statistics on area, production, productivity, prices, and market arrivals. He has served as an editor of Indian Horticulture Database for several years. He has an in-depth understanding of the strengths, challenges, and emerging opportunities in India’s horticulture sector.
