Dr. Christian P. Daquigan is the Officer-in-Charge Director of the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) under the Department of Agriculture of the Philippines. He also serves as Officer-in-Charge Chief of the BAI’s National Veterinary Quarantine Services Division, where he leads national veterinary quarantine operations and the implementation of animal border control protocols to safeguard the country’s livestock sector.
Dr. Daquigan began his professional career in the private sector, providing veterinary technical services in animal nutrition and care within the feed industry. He later transitioned to public service, joining the Bureau of Animal Industry and contributing to key national programs, including the African Swine Fever Prevention and Control Program.
Through his leadership roles in government, Dr. Daquigan continues to support the development of national animal health programs, strengthen biosecurity systems, and advance policies that protect and promote the Philippine livestock industry.
