Dr. Bui Duc Hieu is currently the Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam. He is responsible for bilateral cooperation with countries in Asia, Oceania, and ASEAN in the fields of agriculture and environment.
Prior to joining the Department of International Cooperation, Dr. Hieu worked at the Ministry Office, the Department of Organization and Personnel, and the Vietnam Environment Administration.
Dr. Hieu obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental studies from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Queensland, Australia. He later completed his Ph.D in climate change in Vietnam in 2021.
